The Cold War
The Cold War was a time when countries were tense because of the subject of communism. Russia wanted all of the countries to become communist, while America wanted to keep everyone democratic. The war was a psychological war. People were scared out of their minds. People in both nations, Russia and America, would turn people in if the person was though to be affiliated with the hated type of government. Both leaders had to keep their countries calm, but this was a very hard task to do. The Cold War is officially dated from 1947 to 1991, but the effects of The Cold War are still evident today.
